    I have the TRD exhaust and liked the sound. After I chopped it though, sounds quieter. I’m gonna weld the tip back on similar to yours. Looks good

    Yes, sorta. Came off my Akrapovic exhaust from my 911. One of the four tips was blemished and Akra sent me a new one. So I McGyvered it to the Taco.

    Any preference between Borla and TRD? I want a throatier sound but nothing too loud. Borla is $150 cheaper than TRD.

    Not too sure. I have the TRD and it’s a good sound. I chopped my tip off to axle dump. It’s quieter now. Which isn’t what I wanted haha. All good though

    If you're doing a custom Borla exhaust (catback) there are options. On their official site they have sound clips.

    Looks like the Toyota black chrome exhaust tip that slides over factory exhaust and clamps on.. usually you can see the factory exhaust pipe about an inch inside.

    hmmm, I cannot compare with other oem tips, but I do have the oem black chrome toyota logo'd tip and it's sort of adjustable. You slide on the tip and bolt it tight, it's somewhat adjustable sliding to it's maximum extension or least extended where you will see the stock bare pipe within.
