Anyone seen this before? Looking for options to get rid of the drone. Around town it’s great but highway is annoying. Thinking of going stock as there are plenty of marketplace but concerned about 285/70/r17 spare. Still need to bend tabs back to see if it will
    Go a bit higher.

Yup. But not like that. Kind of killing the additional clearance. I've had mine done twice. Once on the stock exhaust and once on a Pro. The Pro sounds delicious all the time, even long trips.

Just a note that I can hear the exhaust most all the time, but it is not obtrusive. I have heard drone-y exhausts on Tacos.

clearance is good. Tucked between frame and leaf spring mount. Least of my problems. :)

    This and that
Is the exit just relocated on that muffler? Is that even possible? Is there a hole on the other side that is plugged?
I’ve shortened mine at the axle but it still points south when I head north.

Dumping exhaust under the truck is a bad idea. Pointing it back toward the cab is terrifying!:eek::eek:

Yeah. This one was passed around and needed some clean up. It was my first try with VHT paint. It went on easy and has done well. Still looks great. Since it needs heat to cure, I did not get the top and could hit that sometime down the road since the side that you handle when installing is now painted.

No plug, entry and exit on the same side. It will be changed sooner than later.

Why? Axle dump is OEM on 4th gen Trailhunter. No regs against it on a truck, since the exhaust tip is under the bed and not under the cab.

That looks like the Stromung Tucker exhaust http://www.stromungexhaust.com/16-1...trans-24-wheel-drive-crew-cab-short-bed1.html. i have it on my truck. It should say Stromung on the exhaust tip. It is droney for me in the roughly 2100-2400 rpm range. It has a nice sound but the drone can get on ya. Since updating my tune from KDMAX to Yotawerx 2.1 ive noticed a big improvement on the drone. The KDMAX liked to hold longer before shifting and when just cruising would keep it in the drone rpm range. I would either give the pedal a quick punch to get it to shift or let off. But ive noticed with the new Yotawex BH 2.1 it seems to stay just below 2000 rpm if im cruising even less with no loss in power. Overall the tune while improving shift points seems to keep me out of that drone RPM range more often. It has been more enjoyable to drive. Plus the new stereo and sub helps too. I do like the sound of the exhaust when at idle and WOT outside the drone zone. I've looked at possible resonators or helmholtz resonators but for the moment with the updated tune i can live with it. R4T also made some similar exhaust but their version dumps out the back. But an earlier version may have been similar to the Stromung. I suspect R4T may be a rebranded Stromung. Edited to add I did think about getting it altered to dump to the back or even get a similar resonator installed like on the Magnaflow overland but wasn't sure they would sell me just the resonator.

You do realize that there are cab vents between the cab and the bed?

I don't know the rules in all states, but clearly it is the law in Va - 19VAC30-70-300. Muffler, exhaust system and trailer venting. (virginia.gov)

Also if it helps, this is pretty much what it sounds like:

Rear slider open with a Softopper that does amp up sounds from the bed area.

    This and that
It says behind the rear axle, and it’s cool if you have a Nissan because they are just known pos and the exhaust system can be shit.
