For the last few years my truck likes to roll left and right when I drive over irregularities on the Interstate. It is a pronounced roll that it didn't have before. There is no pitch (front-rear motion) at all, and the steering is nice and tight. Running on the third set of Bilstein 4600 shocks, and after I last changed them I didn't notice much improvement.

The LBJs are tight and there is no play in them. The truck has 101,000 miles on it and a brand new steering rack. Quite a few of those miles were on washboard roads. I know this is hard to describe in writing, but has anyone else here noticed a similar roll and if so, what did he do to cure it?

I had this exact same problem the other day. Got new shocks and springs(didnt replace leafs tho) about 3 months ago. Had to drive 120 miles up to a place, bed was loaded with firewood(not that heavy). I noticed a slight rolling when I would go over bumps. Coming back with a trailer with a kayak on it the rolling was much worse. Part of it I think came from the kayak sliding around a bit, and something seems a little fishy with my trailer axle as well, but it definitely did not feel like that was the whole problem

I thought that shock absorbers would take up excessive spring bounce.

Stiffer front springs compensated for the removal of my sway bar, so if your springs are shot I can definitely see that contributing to your body roll.

I just recently did the add-a-leaf and replaced the worn out rubber leaf spring bushings with polyurethane ones. Big improvement on body roll.

I had a similar problem with my 01. I changed the sway bar linkage and bushings and that fixed it for me. Best of luck to you

I had the same problem with my '03. I changed the front and back shocks and that made a noticeable difference.

I think if the springs aren't as springy as they should be, then the shocks are being worked harder.

I'm not sure how my front springs are, but my rear springs are moustache shaped, which is definitely not good for my body roll.

I agree with the above. Springs that old may be the issue.

Your front shocks and springs will be a big player in body roll.

After installing kings shock-Springs up front and bilstein 5100, rear, the roll I had is all gone.
