Will be listing my 2006 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 V6 TRD Offroad in the upcoming months as I recently ordered 2024 4Runner TRDORP. I'm the original owner and the truck is in excellent condition. 105K miles w/ recent 90K service. New Falken Wildpeak's AT3's (265/75 16") w/ Fifteen 52 wheels in December ($2,038). Mostly stock with exception of Bilstein 5100 shocks, Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX w/ Apple Car play and rear back up camera, window tint and custom leather steering wheel.

Binder full of receipts including original window sticker. Silver Streak Mica paint in excellent condition (always garaged) as is the interior. No rust as car has been on west coast all of its life (Reno and San Diego).

    Need guidance on value please.

What’s the month on the driver door sticker before the /06? The earlier ones had the first iteration of the head gasket that fails in the early to mid 100k mile range.

Someone else who remembers will chime in, I’m sure.

Also, I’d immediately pull those wheels off and try and sell for what you can get and put the stock back on the truck. You’re not likely to get as much keeping them together on the truck.

I'm throwing my opinion in at high teens, maybe low 20's for the right buyer based on what I saw during my hunt earlier this year. Dealers would price that at $23-26k, and I really wish I was kidding.

Nice truck, I doubt it'll be for sale long, it's a low mile survivor.

    She's stock, for now :)
Depending on the buyer I'd say with stocks around 15k and probably about the same with that current setup.
    4.0 auto or manual?
    Or is it the 2.7?

Original owner, all service records, clean title/no accidents, no rust, garage-kept, at CA prices, $18-20K easy, esp. if it was manufactured after the known 2005 head-gasket defect issue was taken care of by Toyota.

If it was manufactured while still in the 2005-4.0L V6-headgasket-problem time window, it could still get $18-$20K for a clueless buyer, but a saavy buyer would be right to knock $3-$4K off that price as the headgasket would then need doing at some point.

List it on the Craigslist pages for the rich ski towns in the rockies. Bozeman, Jackson, Missoula, CDA, etc. Someone will fly down and drive that thing home in no time.

$22K seems a little high to me for an '06 TRD OR. The resale on tacomas is good, esp one owner with low miles but I'd value it closer to $18K. If the OP isn't in a hurry there's nothing to loose asking that much, you can always go down.

To confirm 4L V6 with build date of June 2006. Hope this goes to a Tacoma enthusiast. Hard to let her go as its such a great truck but have limited room now that my 2024 4Runner has arrived.
