I put in aftermarket halo headlights and ran them off of my running lights, swapped I'm bigger tires went up to a p225/R75.
I just have a question, does anyone know any good brands for electronic fans, my fan clutch is starting to go out and instead of replacing it I'm thinking about just swapping over to an electronic fan system. Anything helps thank-you.

No it is one of the worse things you can do !!!

Unless you have a clearance issue because of a engine swap stay away .

I have changed back several (10 +) of these .

Not knowing where you live the best failure or worst was on the Cross Bronx Expressway at rush hour on a Friday night

I agree with this. Generally speaking it's not a good idea to convert to electric cooling fan as you lose cfm and lose reliability. Actually I don't remember of anyone here having done this conversion and was able to get as good of results as the stock oem fan clutch

Your stock fan clutch will still work to a degree .on it`s way to complete failure

The electric fan just how would you plan to control it ?

Every connection, every sensor, switch or relay, and the fan motor is a point of failure

    Full stop

Don't do it. Fix the clutch if you must.

Thank you, I was a little hesitant because was worried if the electronics fail I would be stranded, and I was looking at this for a clearance issue I was about to do a engine swap from the 2.4 to the 2.7 with a couple add-ons. But I will stay away from the electronic fans

I swapped to an electric fan. Though I had very tight tolerances that I had to. If I could've done clutch I would've but this works surprisingly well and is well known to work in the pick up world.

The dual electric fans the previous owner put on my truck did an awful job of cooling, had overheating issues in 4wd especially and with the AC on. Got a new mechanical/fan clutch installed and no more overheating issues.

I think e-fans are better suited for street/racing applications but for most of us and our Tacomas, the fan clutch does a better job
