2003 Tacoma Access Cab 4x4. Would love some insight on what is the smoothest on road quality. The offroading will be firebreak roads or simple trail roads.

I've ridden in a Bilstein 5100 before and wasn't impressed, I love the ride of my 3rd gen's ADS setup, but not looking to drop $4,000 again.

    Got my eyes on:

Everyone seems to have different ride feel preference...what you might like someone else might not.
The Rancho 9000 have that 1-9 compression damping that you can play with yourself.
I would change mine all the time with different car loads or mood, pretty neat for a budget shock.
They made a "My Ride" device so you could change the setting while you drive, i do miss that 'on the fly' adjustability.

Bilstein 4600 is basically the stock OE shock, so it will basically be the stock ride.

Ranchos have never been known for their ride quality.

Eibach seems to really do alot of vehicle specific R&D and so far we have seen positive reviews on them.

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks for the input! I've heard the same thing about eibach as well. You have any experience of the silver vs black eibachs? I know they have different valving but can't find anything specific.

I thought the 4600's had the same valving as 5100's?

Main difference is the black are just standard OE replacement shocks, the silver has the adjustable ride height.

If you are looking to do UCAs we can do a package deal for you.

Is the ride quality the same if I'm keeping stock height? I don't think I'll need new uca's if I'm not lifting? thanks

If you are not lifting, than you will not need UCAs.

I just assumed you were planning to lift it. I honestly have not used the black ones to have an opinion.
