Hi y’all! I just installed the Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2R suspension on my 22 SR5. The rear shocks feel great, but the front coil overs are very bouncy. As soon as I pulled out of a parking spot it was bouncing. When I went over pot holes or speed bumps, it felt like the truck was going to disassemble. I did max out the height though, and after calling eibach they said I should lower the ride height, and then get an alignment. Any experiences with height and ride quality.

I would also loosen, and then re-tighten all suspension parts with bushings while the truck is at its new ride height.

I have been running the Stage 2's for almost 2 years. I installed them as they were in the box. I love how they ride. A huge improvement over the solid iron bars the TRD Sport came with. They absorb bumps and potholes with firmness and control and I have way less jitter after the initial suspension hit. The shocks control the truck with no drama. I would say these shocks do exactly what I wanted them to do and are the best shocks I have installed on a vehicle.

I had Koni's on my Mustang SVO's... factory equipped. Another fantastic shock but not for this application...

I just got mine last week. I have a 2nd taco and it feels way better than what I had before (6112/5160) I lowered mine from the front because it was too high how they came in the front, but other than that it feels great! Faster I goal the better it takes the hits and bumps. The back is so soft, which is what I really wanted. Can’t wait to take this thing out and tested in the desert.

Looks way too cranked up / tight. Definitely lower that and see what it does. Seems like it would be way past being able to droop / beyond max lift and just heavily preloaded like that.

Also you do need to loosen and only tighten your control arms with the weight of the truck on them...these bushings simply flex and not rotate, so clocking them in a full-droop position will simply tear them up quickly, and may worsen that bounce feeling since they would be under a lot of tension.

those are way too high, and probably the reason yours bounces like it does. in the instructions there is a measurement of how far you can adjust these based on the amount of threaded area below the collar. youve gone way past the max adjustment. I have the stage 2/2r set to what it was out of the box, and I love the way it rides

Over extended and topping out as noted above. Did you take a before and after measurement to see the amount of lift added?

    3 inch lift , 20 inch rims
Hello EH !! I'am interested in purchasing new shocks for my 18 Tacoma and was wondering if I could pick your brain.
What is the lift from these shocks installed on the truck with the out of the box adjustment ? Looking for a more softer ride on the street, dirt roads, are these a softer ride than factory ? I have a 3 inch lift , could these be adjust to 3 inches and would the ride quality suffer or the stage 2 recommendation of 2.75 ? Is there any other shocks in that price range that you would suggest ? Did you buy yours in Canada or in USA and where ?
    Thanks for your time.

My experience with suspension on the Tacoma is the stock TRD Sport equipment and the Eibach stage 2. As I mentioned the Eibach is a huge improvement in quality over the TRD Sport equipment.

I do know, the Eibach Stage 2 or 2R will not accommodate a 3" lift. It is designed for a maximum of 2.5" of lift. And even then anyone that has cranked them up has had ride quality concerns.

As for out of the box, I got approximately 48mm or just over 1 ¾ inches.

Are any of you guys running 285/70r17s with the eibachs? I have 4Runner trd pro wheels that have a 4mm offset and currently have a 3” spacer that I want to replace. I currently have no rubbing issues and hope to keep it like that.

Im running 285 70 17 ko2's on the 2/2r setup. My wheels have a -10 offset. I did have to get a cmc but no running after that

Sorry to reactivate this thread. Did you cut your fenders at all, or just get the CMC? How much lift did you put on the coil overs and what are you running in the rear for lift?

I second this, I’ve heard from sources like Shock Surplus that ride quality deteriorates after you go above 2” of lift. Not sure if they meant 2” after the truck settles or 2” as you adjust it

also @Speedfreak did you get the 1 3/4 after the truck settled? Going for 2 inches and want to know how much to adjust
