I own a 1999 Tacoma with a 3.4l, today I'm driving it and check engine light pops on. Ran the code and it's the EGR Vacuum Solenoid so I'll have to replace it. I'm wondering where it is located? I have a good idea but I want to make sure.

Top middle of engine under intake.
    Follow the 2 hoses.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Remember it is the complete sensor circuit .

Make sure it has failed before replacing.

Ok thank you, what should I look for to be sure if it's all faulty?

First check that your solenoid indeed has failed?

look for broken or rubbed wires

Time to break out the multi meter

Use a 9 volt battery and jumper wires to test the VSV.
With power applied you should be able to blow air through valve.
Remove power you should hear a click and no longer be able to blow air through valve.
