It's funny that a year or so ago they were all picking the Ranger as #1 and now they have it at rock bottom.

I think even Edmunds has had reviews with a different order lol. I don’t trust reviews, I do trust me trying a vehicle out myself and doing research on reliability, talking to friends who own one. Exactly how I ended up with a Tacoma.

What’s funny to me is how Edmunds claims the Frontier “offers a unique look”. Lol, it’s just as unique as it was 5 years ago when Toyota designed it.

The discount Will Arnett doing the review is so cringey! Ugh, what happened to the older eponymous Edmunds dude that killed the shocks on a 3RD Gen OR on washboard roads and was forced to sing the praises of Ridgelandia?

Tacoma is a tried and true, I'm sure all manufacturers got the Taco in their sights, Taco is the reference, period!

Hey where is my trd skid plate …. Guess that’s something new for the 21 off-road . I find it funny that the Nissan Frontier had all the high expectations that it was going to be the midsize king . Lol nope .

It will be interesting to see first quarter sales results next year. I’m sure the frontier will pick up some sales from the others but how much from each?

The Ranger might be ugly but at least it looks different than the other 3. I like the complaints about the tall bedsides on the Ranger and Frontier. When so many midsize truck owners lift their truck, put a cap on the bed with a rack on the cap and strap things to those racks.

And to me tall bedsides are a good thing, it’s a truck it’s meant to carry stuff.

Tacomas are pricey here in Canada and a new base Frontier is over $1K more than a comparable Tacoma!

It's not that surprising. It's the most dated design out of the four.

Maybe so, but not exactly a fair comparison with the 2022 Frontier compared against the 2021 Ranger, though I’m not familiar with 2022 Ranger changes (2022 Tacoma about the same as 2021 )

"Ranger" is the given badge name in the U.S., but the platform itself has been around for years abroad. Year model refreshes aside, the platform is quite dated.

Tacos still dominate the landscape here. I spot the occasional Ranger, but rarely see a Colorado or Canyon. I've yet to see a new Frontier.

If you take these reviews somewhat seriously, the difference between the top three is 0.2 points. Tacoma, 7.7; Canyon, 7.6; Frontier, 7.5. Hardly a run away win for the Tacoma.
