While roaming around Lowe's I cam across this flange by the galvanized pipe section and immediately came up with a easy idea to mount a flag... total cost was 11 bucks with the ss hardware.. I purchased a cheap wooden flag pole but I may end up using 3/4 conduit.. I haven't tested the sturdiness of it.. however I do not plan to drive around with the flag... simply for beach and tailgates
Also the hardware is all 3/8x16.

Hell yes, this is a great idea! I'm going to lowes after work and getting 2 so I can fly my American Flag and Gadsden Flag around this weekend!

    Cool idea!

Random thought: I just love it when the rednecks in my area fly the "thin blue line" and "come and take it" flags at the same time... makes me realize how ironic and stupid they really are. I guess they think that the politicians will come knocking door to door taking guns, and not law enforcement

I tried at two separate Lowe's and two home depot's and I can't find the piece you used. I just bought a $25 hitch mount and $7 2" pvc, and some black spray paint.

Most police refuse to take other people weapons unless they are a threat. And most rednecks are no threat to anything but dear and mud crickets. So a come and take it flag is more directed at anti gun people, not police.

"A female who wears short shorts, cowgirl boots, and will blow anyone with a lifted vehicle. Often found rolling around in a mud hole or getting railed in the woods. Listens to country music and claims shes not a whore but gets bounced around friend groups like a hacky sack"

    Work in progress...
I could mount that up front for an off road flag.
