Just posting to ease minds if anyone is wanting to buy new tires and looking at Goodyear Duratracs. I recently purchased a set at the 265/75/16 size, have driven around 1000 miles and have been happy with them. Living in northern New York we get a good amount of snow and they haven’t had any problems. I read a couple posts about how at this size the tires might rub on the little mud flap on the front tires but happy to say they didn’t and I didn’t have to remove it. Def would recommend if anyone is in the market for new tires.

I'm currently using those tires and having good results also. Unfortunately I don't have much snow to play in over here in AZ.

Agreed, these are very capable tires. A bit noise on cross country trips, but nowhere near as bad as a dedicated MT.

these tires are great. I probably have about 20k miles on mine and they look like they have barely worn. I would definitely purchase them again when the time comes.

Count me as a dissenting voice, I've got a set on my truck right now and won't be buying them again. They do well on dry pavement although they get louder as they wear (normal), they do well off-road, they kinda suck on wet roads, I haven't tried them in snow or ice. I'm just not impressed with their wet weather performance. I'm thinking I may try a set of Coopers next time, lots of folks here seem to like those as well. YMMV

They are one of the better A/T tires in wet conditions. If you've ever driven on BFG KO2's in the rain you will be wishing you had the Duratracs back. That's my experiance. I do agree they get noisey as they age, but not as bad as some that are as aggressive. Bar none they are the best A/T in winter weather though!

I've had several A/T tires which I thought performed better in wet conditions including Wrangler Silent Armors and General Grabber ATs, neither was quite as aggressive as the DuraTracs though. I ran BFG All Terrains starting back in the 80s then KOs then KO2s on my old 1st gen Tacoma, two FJ-40s, a FJ-60 and two VW Buses (back when BFG made the 27" versions) and don't recall them being as apt to spin; they did as well as could be expected for an AT tires in the snow as well. JMHO I haven't had the current Tacoma out west in any real snow so I can't comment on that.

I’ll be buying another set, probably will get the 235/85/16 duratrac’s now that I have a 2 inch lift. 40K miles on them and looks like they’ve barely worn. Rotate every 5K. No issues on wet pavement if you know how to drive...

Going to be a dissenter in regards to in road. I've had 265/75/R16 Load C for maybe a year or so and I will not buy them again. They absolutely suck in the rain in my experience. I have more rain than snow. I ran BFG KO's for a long time and liked them, before these and I can't believe the difference is that much and the price is basically the same. They also rub a lot more than the BFG's.

I love mine. Probably 15 to 20 k on them and lots of life left.

I had the duras then recently got the ko2s. I think I prefer the duratracs in terms of grip in the snow and ice.

My F150 needed new tires and I went with these Pirelli's in November. They are a more aggressive tire than BFG's, not quite as aggressive as the Duratracs. I considered both of those as well as Falken Wildpeaks. I'd seen photos of these, but wasn't interested until I saw some in person. I knew it was the tire I wanted.

They ride great on the road are quiet for now, but all tires get louder as they wear. I replaced a set of Coopers which I couldn't complain about, but the one thing I find most impressive is how well they handle wet roads. I have about 2000 miles on them including a 1000 mile road trip pulling a 3000 lb trailer. It rained HARD most of the first 500 miles and I was very impressed. I also live on a steep hill with 90* turn half way up. Every other vehicle I've ever owned since 1989, with every other tire, has spun the wheels in that curve when the pavement is wet. Not these.

I tend to agree actually. The contact patch on the duratracs is actually smaller on road than BFG KOs. They have larger gaps between tread lugs which makes them perform better off-road. KOs will quickly "ball up" with debris more readily in the sticky stuff. All a compromise, but duratracs are definitely a good value MT alternative.

I’ve had both the KO2 and DURATRAX and can honesty say the DURATRAC’s outperform the the KO2’s.

Had 265/75-16 Duras on my truck for 90,000 miles (highway) and still got $200 for them when they came off!

They got a little noisy- more fault of my bad alignment

Replaced with KO2’s and not a day goes by that I don’t wish I had just gotten another set of Duras...

KO2’s are quiet, they’ve got that.
