I am thinking about duals on my 3.4 double cab. I have listened to many videos on YouTube and the 18 inch Magnaflow sounds the best. Any members running duals?

I personally would not run duals with a V6. I have a Magnaflow SS cat back exhaust system (single tip/side exit) on mine right now. Sounds ok at idle and WFO, but midrange (where I spend 90% of my driving) sounds "silly". Silly may not be the word I'm look for. Like trying to be something that you're not. I would not purchase again.

But hey - it's all subjective. Run what you want! Enjoy.

I'll try to get a pic with my I phone tonight. hey - If I take a video with my iPhone, will it have sound and can I upload it here like I do a pic?

When you get past 50....you have to ask these technical questions...

those single in dual out systems arent really duals. its gona sound pretty much the same as a single exit. go with whatever you think looks best. magnaflow 18" and flowmaster 44 are my top choices.

There's no performance advantage to the duals... and it costs and weighs more. Go with the single outlet.

When I bought my truck, it had dual Mangaflows along with a K&N cold air intake. Not sure if it's related, but I'm getting a P0120 and P0420. Need to take it to a shop and see if it needs a cat (still has both of them). I'm going to put a new exhaust manifold gasket on it first since it's at 180K and it's probably due for it. Cheaper than a new cat. We'll see.

Edit: On the highway, it's drone-y. On the street, I have driven by cars with the cheap alarms and have either set off a warning chirp or set them off completely. I'm still undecided on if I like it or not.

I've had a magnaflow 18" single in/out for about a year and a half now. I don't like it any more. It's gotten louder and louder and more "drone-y" on the freeway. About ready to go to the nearest muffler shop and ask for the quietest one they make.

Borla pro xs with an ultra quiet resonator gets my vote. Love it. Got a nice tone accelerating and cruising. Silent at idle and highway speeds. Single exhaust system btw. But if yiuvreally wanna do duals, I bet itd be pretty awesome with the borlas and resonators. Doing duals without resonators especially mags, would be unbearable I'd think.

do you have any sound clips?

I like the sound of the magnaflow but am worried about the volume too. Nothing is worse than having a slow truck with a loud exhaust (BTDT) but I wouldn't mind hearing it a little more :)

Little hard to hear. Headphones or surround with bass brings the tone out.

duals with just glasspacks is offensively loud. sound deadening the cabin made a huge difference in drone but it aint enough. its been on for a year now and ive decided to add a couple flowmaster 40s to the system keeping the glasspacks as resonators to quite it down.

Single in dual out Magnaflow, first impression is it is still too loud, however coasting with out touching gas pedal you hear nothing, will upload to YouTube and post.

Dual looks so awful. Even 10 times worse when it goes out the corners lol.
