    I have a 18’ OR - I have seen a couple posts relating to this. I want my LED DRL’s on with my interior dash/cluster lights on as well without having to select parking lights or headlights.

    Anyone seen any mods for this?

    You mean like having it one notch up from DRL? One notch under low beam on.

    its the second option after drl, it looks like a break lights icon, it will keep your drl lights on and turn on your console lightning and also you rear lights without turning on your headlights.

    OFF = OFF
    DRL = Daytime Running lights only
    DⱭ = DRL+Tailights+Console Lights
    D= Headlights+tailights+console lights

    The secondary turnstyle is dedicated to fog lights on/off

    Just saying: The existing set up is a feature, not a bug. My opinion, after seeing way too many cars driving around with just DRLs in the middle of the night, is that back lit gauges with DRLs only or full time backlit is bad bananas. There is no way to even signal peeps that do this.

    Yesterday, I came up behind a Forester running like this. Flashed my lights. All they did was slow down from the 60mph speed limit to something under 40 for whatever reason. They never figured out the problem.

    Even peeps coming the other way running dark have no clue after trying to signal them.

    Like I said, just my thoughts.

    Here in sunny (hot af) california, we occasionally get a light fog. It's nice to have the option to show your existence from the front and the back without necessary headlights during a morning commute. Just my two cents.

    I hear you. We do have that option with the parking light function. Dashlights are on, DRLs are on, front ambers and rear reds are on, and fogs are available.

    DRLs only and dash lights in fog is not good, IMHO?

    The usual reasoning for backlit gauges plus DRLs only is for tunnels.

    Subarus light setup is the absolute worst. I prefer how Toyota has it. I drove around in my wife's Subaru with the rear lights off more than a couple times. It's confusing for sure.

    Exactly. They are not the only ones. Although prior to the newest ones, Subaru freaking used dimmed high beams for DRLs. I hated those in daylight let alone when folks run with just DRLs at night. I did the courtesy of unplugging the DRL connector on my wife's Forester. She leaves it in Auto mode, so we're at least not dazzling folks in daylight.

    Good idea. I will say, I got very good at changing out headlights. I don't think I went 7-8 months without replacing one. I wouldn't go anywhere without one in the glove box.

    I mean, fogs wont turn on anyway until you switch to parking lights anyway so if anything its just another unnecessary light to turn on unless of course you have dense fog then yes, use the fogs. I rarely get fog bad enough that I cant see 10 feet in front of me though. Again. YMMV

    But, that is not what the OP is wanting to do.

    Glad Toyota has done it this way. Having a dash lit up all the time causes people to drive at night with no lights on. It's got so bad that Canada is now mandating daytime running TAIL lights starting in a couple years...

    Then I honestly don't understand the issue so I'm out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Aren't headlights on during fog not so you can see but so that others can see you?

    This is a huge problem. Every night I drive home from work I see someone with only DRLs on.
