Anyone know which fuse location is for the day running lights? None are labeled for it.

Was hoping to avoid pulling every fuse one at a time.

There's a 20a fuse under the dash that's labeled D/L. Could be it.

Check the smaller fuse box next to the big box in the engine bay. Look for the relays. Think there may be 3.

I have a 17’ Tacoma. This is what’s under the small fuse box next to the main fuse box under the hood. I’m trying to install “bmw m4 angel eyes” I have ground, acc 12v, and turn signal wires(angel eyes blink Amber when turn signals blink) to connect......can I connect ACC 12v to the DRL in the small fuse box?

I would like to know this as well. I installed a set of amber lights into my 2019 pro grill. All the videos show running the hot with an “add a fuse” connection to the main headlights. When I tried to add them to the fog light fuse, they stay on all the time, even when the vehicle is totally off. I like the idea of connecting them to the running lights though. Where is that pesky fuse???

Hey @Argo98 did you ever end up tapping into your DRL circuit? Come up with a clean/easy way to do so?

Thanks @JIMMEISTER for the link. I did end up stumbling across that video in my research. For now I am trying to avoid splicing (even with a "quick splice") into existing wiring if I can make it work with an add-a-fuse in a way I'm happy with.

Not sure if you saw my other post (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2018-sr5-fuse-panel-help.627820/) but I need to figure out why I have an empty fuse slot labelled "DRL" even though my fuse panel cover states there is supposed to be a 10a fuse there - and whether or not I can use this for my light install. I just havnt had time to play with it yet.

Read your previous thread. Here's a picture of my fuse box. I have a 18 DCLB 4X4 OR and my 10amp DRL does have a fuse there, but no idea why you're doesn't haha. Just an idea, turn on your DRL and check to see if there's any power going to that empty slot (and voltage drops when turned off)

Yeaaaa I need to find my voltmeter and play around with it. Just noticed my fuse panel lid is missing the fuse puller. Guess that doesnt come stock on the SR5 trim:rofl::confused:

If you don't have LED DTRL then no need to have a fuse there...

Ahhhh ok. So trims with LED DRL will have a fuse in the "DRL" slot.... trims with non-LED DRL will be lacking a fuse in the "DRL" slot. I'm guessing they are wired into some other circuit then. Thanks for the input!

You are correct. The Turn Signal Lamp (incandescent) that your vehicle has uses a dual filament bulb. One is For DTRL & Signal, the other for "Tail".

DRL's are behing the relay(small fuse box under the hood). That DRL fuse is constant power circuit that feeds relay.
To tap to DRLs, need to splice wires

I installed new LED tail lights on my 2017 TRD Sport, had to replace my brake fuse but also had to replace a 7.5A fuse under the dash that was labeled TAIL. While exploring for that i also located a 20A fuse labelled D/L, hope this helps someone
