i tried searching around and couldn't find much of what i was looking for. Is there a way to keep the DRLs on full brightness when the headlights are on, they dim down to a duller white?

when i had my Audi i could login with the VAGCOM and crank the LEDs to full brightness at all times, it just looks better with the xenon headlights i put in the truck

Good idea. Would be nice if the just stayed on too. I have a DRL setting on my switch and no auto headlights. So when I turn the headlights off the switch usually ends up off.

from my understanding, the DRLs dont dim when headlights are turned off. There is a guy on instagram @trdpro_pugz that confirmed it. I asked him in reference to splicing aftermarket raptor grill lights to the DRLs , if the grill lights dimmed too. He said the DRLs dont dim even though they look like it.

i asked this question a while ago.. from what i see.. they do dim down. on factory due to that they give you shitty oem halogen bulbs you can clearly tell they dim.

but from what i can tell.. you will need to determine what wire is for the DRL from the harness and independently hardwire the DRL to stay on when needed, or at all times

i replaced all the bulbs in the head lights and dont seem to think they actually do. have you unplugged your headlights and checked the DRLs to see if they actually do dim? or had someone else stand outside and check.

They definitely do dim once the headlights are turned on. I have my raptor lights wired to them but once I turn the headlights on they dim and the raptor lights are no longer on

I'm going through this right now, there are three wires going into the DRLs: ground, full brightness and partial brightness(headlights on). I'm probably just going to wire them to an ignition source and be done with it

YES they dim with headlights. There are 2 circuits to the led DRLS (high and low). I did a write up on how to tap into them.
Please don't wire them for full brightness at night. You will only annoy other drivers on the road. They dim for a reason

Would they be any brighter than the headlights though? I have an SR, so pretty sure my DRL are not the same.

On a similar note, any way to stop the dimming on the Entune when headlights are on? State law here requires headlights any time the wipers are on, so I often have them on during daylight. The Entune ends up dark enough I can hardly see it....

Adjust your settings in the head unit... Set to most "insensitive" setting..!
