I just dont know what it could be at this point. I do have a roof rack, which i resealed yesterday, silicon+Butyl tape.

I did have a cable with a alloy sleeve on it going through the firewall which i thought was the culprit a few days ago it was wet inside the cabin. I removed the wire.

Today it rained really hard. I was excited to go outside to my dry floorboard... nope, wet.

The water is dripping somewhere under the dash, right above where your left foot would rest. There is also a spot close to your hip that seemed like a drip was hitting on the weather stripping in the door jam. The roof is dry, everything above is dry so it might be my imagination.

    Moonroof?

Usually these problems are a result of roofrack, moonroof, or the brake light seal on the top rear of the cab.

Im certain that it is not an issue with the firewall since that would require an entire flood in order to leak through. Other common occurrences would be the third brake light/cargo light leaking, but that is unlikely based om the location of the leak. My guess would be the roofrack.

I had a wet spot in the same place a few weeks ago.. I chalked it up to a water bottle having leaked a little on the floor behind the driver's seat... But I think that was convincing myself, because I have rubber mats, it wasn't that much water, and it was the next day and it was only wet near the left foot "dead peddle".

    Now you got me worried.

    I have a moon/sunroof.

I doubt the SR5 has a moonroof option

I dont have a moonroof. I just have to roof rack which i completely resealed 2 days ago. This is actually my second time doing it and when i cleaned the attachment points i couldnt believe it was still leaking. Im just not sure at this point its the roof rack.

The leak drips directly on top of the dead peddle as you described it. I would deff investigate.

May sound dumb but make sure you are drying it out completely. I spilt a whole gallon of water on my passenger side and once’s I thought I got it out I was wrong. I went out the next day and the moisture between my WeatherTech mats and the carpet was prevalent. I ended up removing the seat, plastic trim and lifting the carpet to dry beneath it as well. I used baking soda to absorb the moisture then I used a silicon bag I got from Walmart and let it sit in my truck.

Any mold? I detailed a BMW X5 a couple months ago that had a large separation between the roof and the windshield and the entire car was covered in mold lol

Not that I have seen! Probably should go check it out as this was about 3 months ago.

Is it the original windshield? Are the cowl drains free of debris?

Best I can recommend is to pull back the carpet, remove lower panels and trim, and spray with a hose while looking for water coming in.

Yeah thats probably the best course of action. I was hoping someone had a similar problem as there is not much info about a drivers side floorboard leak out there.

I had a drivers side leak, but the floormats stayed dry. They (dealer since it was under warranty) blamed my wiring through the firewall. It was bone dry with spider webs and dry leaves inside the engine compartment. I was having electrical issues too. I ended up trading it in.
