I don't think mine were doing that before I put the carhart covers on. But that looks like a product of how you are getting in/out of the truck. Check the seams, especially the one that's in the "inward crease" where the side bolster meets the main seat back part and see if anything is coming apart allowing the fabric to shift.

No. Is that... a back sweat stain in the seat? Did your Tacoma come with launch mode or what? How far back are you pressed against that seat? Maybe scoot the seat backwards a bit so there's not so much pressure against your seat back?

Not bad for four year old cloth seats. Just my opinion.

I bet the foam is a bit collapsed, allowing the cloth to wrinkle because it's now a bit loose.

One of those hot steam upholstery cleaners might plump the foam up a bit.

Funny you should ask about the stain. I was using the bissel steam cleaner on it before taking the pictures. Once it dries we will see.
Nope. Didn't do a thing. Now I need to clean the whole seat.

mine is starting to do this too, but on the seat bottom not the seat back, and only on the outward side. I think it's from how I spin on the seat when getting in and out

+1 on putting seat covers and forget about it. I did. Out of sight, out of mind.

The things people worry about... smh

Any cushioned seat or chair that is sat in enough will get marks... its just normal wear...

DIdn't like the wrinkles so I got rid of the truck. Bought a Ford Ranger Tremor. What a difference.

I think a set of Roadwire or Kat Skinz would have have been cheaper.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but how fat are you? I notice the fat dudes at work blow their seats out.

Thanks. I'm 5'10" and weigh 180lbs. Maybe its just the seat. I also had 62,000 miles on it from going back and forth to work.
