On my way to work this morning I noticed my seat wasn't warming up, but the passenger side is. I checked the interior fuses, any suggestions? I also checked if all the plugs were plugged in under the seat, which they were.

Yes! Both driver and passenger lights light up.

I would unplug and plug the connection to see if that helps . If not I think it needs some testing for current draw . A trip to the dealer should be in line next.

No but if there are more than one do each but unless you did something with the seat lately I doubt that is it . Spills , pulling something out from under the seat ,anything done abnormal etc.

I just unbolted the seat, lifted it up and found there is a seat heater amp. I wonder if that could be the cause of my problem..

I'm thinking here but if there is one for each seat , you could swap them and see if the other one stops heating .

Not a bad idea! Warming the truck up now to head out so let’s see if it works now magically. When I get home I think I might swap em’! Thank you

After prying the module box out from under my seat to find the same thing you’ll found. Here I sit at the dealership with that box in hand with the burnt socket holes.

They tried to charge me $50 to have a tech look at my seat to tell me it was burnt out!
    “You know”
The part that I was holding in my hand.o_O

Well I contacted my dealer and I HAD THE BLOODY MODULE IN MY HAND and he said "Well we will charge you a $141 diagnostic fee. My answer to him: I will let the truck burn to the ground before I pay you $141. I have Gap and I am $3000 upside down on this loan and my truck is mint condition.

I am so p!ssed this morning. I contacted Toyota USA. Now we wait. This seat amp burning issue doesn't seem to worry many Toyota dealers, reps or what ever, till one Taco does actually burn down in to the God given earth.

You did the right thing. The dealerships will never admit any issues until it is official from the manufacture. And this did actually happened to Mercedes

I know this sounds stupid but I swear, if it starts burning, Ill pull over and watch the inferno... Maybe I am just a little bitter still but I am not sure what to think of Toyota being ok with truck catching fire....

Patents young blood! This will work its self out, just like the leaf springs. Remember, we still are driving the #1 resale valued vehicles in the WORLD! No one Is immune to problems. (ask Nasa!) THE MORE PEOPLE THAT REPORT THIS TO TOYOTA CORPERATION (NOT THE STEALERSHIP!) THE FASTER THIS WILL BE ADRESSED!
