My truck has a 3" lift, 285/75/16 tires, and 4.10 diff gears front and back

When time comes around for new tires, I'm considering removing the lift and going with smaller 265/75/16 tires. I don't want to go through the price and time of re-gearing back though.

Would having 4.10 gears while using 265/75/16's on a stock suspension make my trucks engine scream all the time? Would this actually be any more FUN i.e increased torque and acceleration?

More torque, less fuel economy, engine rpms will be up... But may not be to bad with 4.10

Regular cabs come with 4.10 gears. Then again they don't have the same trans was we do. I don't think it will be that bad with 4.10 and 265
