Any info on the availability of long beds on the TRD Offroad or Sport trims?

I see the new Trailhunter trim appears to be available in a long bed. I also read somewhere on that the SR5s would be available with a long bed.

Really keeping my fingers crossed that the Offroads will also offer the 6ft bed option!

If it doesn’t say it is available, assuming no long beds on the OR and Sport. TH/SR5/SR will have both.

Looks like the SR5 has the best cab configuration options of them all.
    • “Available in Double Cab with 5-ft. or 6-ft. bed and XtraCab with 6-ft. bed”

If no OR LB in the 4th gen, good news for those who have 3rd gen OR LB potentially increased value

Correction, It doesn't look like the SR has a DCLB.

The above screen shots suggest there are 14 different model options, with only two of them being true DCLB (SR5 non-hybrid and TH Hybrid).

    RIP TRD DCLB :pout:

I should have added a “*” to the SR, LB in the XC, SB in the DC.

I think it was about 813 in the video but it said the pro was available in a 5 or 6 foot bed .

I’m bummed the DCLB is SR/SR5/TH only. Would love a Off-road sport or even limited in dclb.
The trail hunter is cool but it’s a little over the top for a daily pavement rig. Especially that stupid ass snorkel?!? Lame. That should be an option, not standard. I assume you can’t remove it as there will be a hole in the fender?

Wow. I've been excited about the new gen, but I'll quickly lose interest if I can't get the OR with a long bed. With all the options, I don't understand why Toyota would take that off the table. Going to a 5 ft. bed would be a terrible step down in functionality for me.

I don't think that makes that version of the Tacoma more valuable. This is a mass produced truck.

Its all a guessing game here guys, but use your heads! No chance toyota stops offering the DCLB on the OR Trim. They arent going to push you into a TH to get a long bed - thats a $20k price difference (likely). I would be SHOCKED if they cut that model out, yet still offered 5 & 6 on the Pro and TH. I bet we'll have options of both bed lengths on all of the mid to upper trim levels. Common sense would indicate they wouldnt offer DCLB on an SR5 and not a TRDOR. IF they did do that, pushing people to make a $20k price jump will 100% backfire, and people will more likely step down to the SR5, not up to a TH or Pro.

I concur with all the above. The DCLB for the OR trim should also be available to the consumer unless toyota wants to lose customers/profits, which they don't.

I sure hope you are correct, but we aren’t really guessing. The trims and bed lengths are spec’d on the toyota USA web site. Not that they don’t make mistakes…so hopefully its just a misprint. Time will tell!

I don't think its a misprint. They're specifying that the PRO and TH will be available in both, because the current gen is only available in 5'. Toyota knows their market, they are the king of midsize trucks - they wont miss the mark.

The web page does not say the PRO will come in 6’, it continues to be 5’ only. TH is the only high trim with 5 or 6.
They absolutely do know their market. Very few people buy the DCLB.

I was really looking forward to a TRD Offroad in Long Bed. But... this was NOT an option an option on the 2nd gen either... it was only a short bed. So I wouldn't be shocked. This is how I ended up with a TRD Sport Long Bed and dropped in a Detroit Truetrac, which has been great. But the idea they won't offer it in any TRD option doesn't sit well with me. I don't want to be forced to go all the way up to Trail Hunter money. Ehhhh, I have a few years to worry about this anyway. Not stoked on the idea of buying a 1st year truck for a new gen.
