Howdy! Just joined the site! Glad to be here...all that jazz...

Not only just bought my first Tacoma, but this is also my first Toyota. Its a used 2019 TRD Sport 4x4 double cab short bed with a manual trans. Love it! Great truck!

We are on something like our third date now, and I want to know a little more about her. Particularly the gobbledygook printed on the manufacturer's sticker on the driver's door pillar. I have conducted a cursory search on the web and this site, and not found anything rock solid for decoding a 2019. I am curious if someone could point me in the right direction?

    Thanks, -blake

The date in the top right is the vehicle production date.

C/TR is the vehicle paint code and interior trim color.

The very top line says your Taco was made in Texas.

A/TM is your Axle code and transmission type

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
What do you want to "decode "?

Your best bet is to Google search "VIN decoder" and plug your VIN in to see all the build options it came with from the factory.

Actually, registering on Toyota's owner's site give quite a bit of info: https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification?source=myVehicle (you have to register and input your VIN first). Excellent resource.

That said, it lacks more technical details like axle, transmission, and transfer case ratios. Currently, I am curious to know what my axles are and if I have limited slip.

Since you got a Manual it has the larger 8.75" Rear Diff and 4.30 gears.

Any idea how to determine if it has limited slip? That is, aside from me putting the truck in some situation where limited slip would come in handy?

It has computer simulated Limited Slip.

Hmm. Like a computer controlled mechanical actuator? Or by slowing down the slipping wheel with that side's brake?

Does Toyota have a chart for the various codes for the "A/TM" code on the door pillar sticker?

    It's brake actuated.
