Last week on vacation my 2017 Taco stopped beeping when you lock it. I looked through the settings thinking I may have accidentally turned it off but couldn’t find anything. Anyone else have this problem?

You could not find the settings area or no settings were changed? There is a place in the head unit because I remember setting my beep to the loudest volume possible.

Might try disconnecting the Negative battery cable for a minute and see if it clears things up.

Apps> Setup> Vehicle> Vehicle customization. Somewhere in there should be the option to adjust the volume or turn on/off the beep. You might check that although as complicated as it is I don't know how you could have changed it accidentally.

I checked it and the volume was at its highest setting.

That did not work either. Looks like I will have the dealer look into it at the next service. Thanks for the suggestion

One more thing to try. Try locking and unlocking from the outside with the metal key in the Fob. Also, lock and unlock from the buttons on the inside of each door. Might be a relay in the locks that is not triggering the beeps.

    Beat me to it.

21 OR here and beeper is drivers side right behind radiator, about a 1x1 square gray plastic piece.

Is it actually locking? I had a door lock actuator go bad and it bricked the whole system

I had this happen to a customers truck, it was a corroded wire in the left rear door, was extremely hard to diagnose, had to check every circuit.

What ended up being the solution per the dealership? My '17 has had the same issue for a year now!

I’m having the same issue, it feels like it has swapped beeps, before it would only beep when I locked it which was very helpful because I knew it was locked, now it only beeps when I unlock it, which it didn’t before

did it start when you installed aftermarket headlights with blinker issues? If so, start there.

Was there any update to this? My 2017 Sport stopped beeping too. Checked the beep volume, shut it off and reset it to the highest level. Then I replaced the beeper under the hood and still no BEEP. Lights all flash but sometimes an audible reaffirmation is nice.
