So my previous truck came with a Toyota factory, equipped door edge guards, which I thought were great, durable, really stuck on there, low profile, etc.…
What sucks is they don’t extend the entire length of the door and they don’t offer protection on the lower part which is what is going to impact something first as it protrudes further than the top protected section….

I used these from Amazon, which I’d loved due to the fact, it was very low profile identical to the Toyota OEM door, trim, guard profile to extend the full length of the door where the Toyota trim guards stopped…

Worked without an issue, but my current truck didn’t come with guards at all, so I am using the same product for the entire length of the truck door, but they just don’t stick long-term.

I’ve emailed the vendor they are aware, I wasn’t given old stock, they’re trying to work with them manufacture to make things better but at this point, it is what it is…
They sent me a new role regardless for free.

    what are you guys using?

The paint is thin on the door, edges and shoot yourself in the foot if you don’t have protection.

I need to find something better before I pay Toyota money for their factory guards, but that still doesn’t change the fact that it does not extend the entire length of the door so kind of puts me in the same situation as prior.

They truly are the way to go, but spendy…
    Just wish they were longer….
If you truly do hit something with the edge of your door, the first part that’s going to make contact is not protected, lower portion of the door…
I first hand know how easy the door edge paint chips on the 24 taco, its thin paint on the door edge...
I chipped the door edge on my first 24 taco that got bought back, by just simple resting the door up against my old work toolbox...
just intentionally resting door on side of box, not accidentally bumping into it....
