I recently purchased valve shims for a 3vze engine from ToyotaPartsDeal.com

Of the 6 shims I ordered, 2 were the correct size and the other 4 were not only the wrong size but they were also used! They sold me used engine parts!!!

Not only did this push the job back and keep me from being able to drive my truck but now they refuse to give me a refund and take these parts back! It's not like I'm losing thousands of dollars but its the principle of the thing. I still can't believe they sent me USED parts that weren't even the right size!

I have gone back and forth with customer service and have spoken with actual people but they have been able to do absolutely nothing for me. I pleaded my case with the last person I spoke with trying to get them to understand how wrong this is and she even agreed with me that she could tell by the photo that these parts were used. My return request was still denied for like the fifth time.
So I'm just going to call the bank and have them dispute the whole thing.

I am so f***ing pissed off that I created an account so I could warn people of this website.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from ToyotaPartsDeal.com!!! You will no doubt get screwed over.

They are a middle man arranging parts you order with other people selling parts. Obviously there is no quality control and the customer service does not give a s**t about you and they probably hate their jobs as it is so avoid them at all costs.

I ended up ordering the parts from yotashop.com. I called them and told them what I went through and the guy helping me was great and guaranteed me the shims he was sending me were the correct size and then he got them out the door the same day. I've since ordered other parts from yotashop.com and have not had any issues with them so far.

Here are the shims these a**holes at ToyotaPartsDeal.com sent me: 20230629_165819.jpg
    Thanks for reading.

Which I would venture is over 75% of the parts sellers on the web.

They sent me all 6 pictured but yes the 4 on the bottom came in a package with a part number for 3.25mm shims and all 4 measured out to 2.8mm.
    And yeah they are used.

Anything claiming to be oem and having deal or discount in the name is a huge red flag

Don't order from this site. If you do make sure you keep all the packaging, document everything through email, and don't waste your time calling them. Very rude. It's been a while since I recommend ppl dont use a company..

This is pretty common now where people buy auto parts and then return the old part in the new parts box. This is totally on the company for reselling but they may not have known

So I did some basic digging on google..so far. The same location has operated more than 5 businesses selling online parts..all of them have similar reports. These guys are operating their businesses in a fraudulent manner on purpose. They close one name and open another.

I think they purposely send the wrong parts. probably gets left overs and tries to slide it off to customers who won't bother to return cause it's a hassle.

If it was not so hot to be working outside..I probably would have never bothered with the return or come onto the forum. It's just this company is dirty. I recommend nobody takes a chance with them, not worth it. Good ppl here

The reviews of this site are pretty darn good but I have just run into an issue with them myself. Will be offering my review of their site soon. I was getting together an order for some brake lines, their pricing was about half the dealer but the shipping was almost $300 on the $105 order! The two lines are about 5 ft long but straight, I got a similar sized order of coolant lines, from Parts Geek, with free shipping as comparison.

    Insane!

I called to see if it was a mistake and after many minutes on hold. The girl didn't look at the cart, she just said, what the website says is what the prices are.

Beware of this place, I can't believe their reviews are all real. I will not be doing business with them.

That sucks OP. I've bought a couple things from them and never had an issue. I definitely shop around for the best deal when grabbing random OEM parts and they're usually not the best, either because of minimum quantities they make you buy or they jack up the shipping. Longo and Olathe are rock solid though.
