I have been running the Dometic PLB40 for a couple months now and I really love it. It takes care of my power needs no problem. However I would like to run a solar panel to keep it charged while stationary for longer periods of time. Are any of you running a solar panel with the PLB40?

Also its needs to have anderson connectors and none of the solar panels that I have seen have the anderson connector. Is there something I am missing or if there some type of adapter?

    Thanks

I'm looking into this as well. My assumptions are that any solar panel will charge this, as long as there's a charge controller in between. I'm curious on what size anderson connector is on as I'm sure the cables from the solar controller can be outfittted with the corresponding connector.

My understanding that there is a built in controller in the plb40? Should just be able to plug in one with no issues.

Not running one currently but I’ve been considering it. There’s a charge controller built in (AC / DC / Solar) so you just need a panel to input power.

There are a few out there with Anderson connectors or you can get an adapter or chop off what’s there and add an Anderson plug.

Here’s one you can get with an Anderson plug, should be more than sufficient
