    Hey all,

I just installed a Dometic slider to get Dometic CFx3 75 in and out my truck bed easily, but I noticed it seems the the slider don’t come all the way out, like some drawer slider out there. Barely can open my second fridge door. Anyone out there have this or is just how it is..ahahaha?

All the slides are a bit diff. I’d take the fridge out and see how far the slide goes. May be binding or catching on something

Um... You should have a few more inches to go. The stops should land between the last two bolts sticking out there.

As @Shellshock stated I think you are binding on something.

It should have a very solid "lock" feel when it reaches the end.

It's def getting hung up on something. See how it does without the fridge on it.

Actually no. I installed the slider on top of a wood platform to give clearance from the bed stifner. I don’t feel is anything under the slider, but actually on the sides.

It looks like you have the older slide and not the newer CFX3 slide. I'm not sure if there's a difference in extension, but Dometic states the one you have should extend to 67in in total length, giving you 30in of extension (slide is 37in). I've never been a fan of the Dometic slides and went with something else that offers full extension in a smaller footprint. Mine is mounted directly to the bed, similar to your setup.

I noticed that too. I've got the newer CFX3 slide and it comes out further than this.

Which one did you go with?

If you don’t drill into the bed, how are you gonna secure it to keep it from moving?

You can mount it on top of a storage slide, or decked system. Then you won’t have to drill into the bed lol

I went with the DFG CFX50 slide.

I drilled into my bed and use 4 rivnuts to bolt the slide to. Otherwise you can do as others said, cut a plywood base to bolt to or install onto a drawer system.

Just a heads up, I tried to rivnut mine and they ended up pulling up through the bed. Not sure what I was doing wrong or if I needed to use deeper or wider rivnuts, but I ended up just bolting mine in instead.

Also, you need to pay attention to the surface you are mounting to. The bed has those grooves in it, so if the right side fridge bolts are on one of the peaks of the bed grooves, and the left side fridge bolts are in one of the valleys, you need to tighten them evenly. I initially cranked mine all the way down and the slide wouldn't come out since it was 'bent'. Hope that makes sense. You just want to make sure the slide is as level as possible and not tighter on one side causing twisting or bending of the slide.
