How can I tell? I don't see anything on my spec sheet about it. Is there an easy way to be sure?

    Oh look, another mod....

You have an SR5, so you probably have a old-school key, and not a key fob. The key may have lock/unlock buttons on them? Press the lock button twice, once to lock and once to activate the alarm.

This is how it works on the keyfobs. If you hear it beep, then you have the alarm. If you don't hear that, then you don't have it.

Roll down windows, turn off ignition, get out and lock the truck from the outside using the fob/remote. Now reach through the window and open the driver's door from the inside.

Did you piss off the neighbors? Then you have a factory alarm.

Not sure on SR5, but it must...

    Get in
    Lock it
    Open the door.

I tried these recommendations. I got in the truck and pressed the lock button twice. I hear a beep each time I press the button but when I open the door...nothing happens. I am guessing that I do not have an alarm.

When you get in the truck and hit the lock button on the key (twice), you must wait 30 seconds or more for the alarm to fully set. You'll see a dash light starts to flash.

    Try again and check.

Do trim levels above SR5 always come with the factory alarm?

The only light flashes is the one in the image attached. I don't have a smart key and nothing happens when I reach in and open the door from the inside. I would expect the horn and/or lights to go off if I had a security system?

Sr5 has an alarm you have to turn it on with tech stream. I added glass break sensor, new hood latch, and security horns to my truck all the wiring was there just needed a relay for the security alarms. If you see a dummy plug at the hood latch you most definitely can do what I did.

I’ve got an H key and have factory alarm. I’ve tested it and it only works if you double click “lock” button and unlock the door from inside. It’s fairly loud.

Are there any break glass alarm options for a 2023 SR with just a regular key?

Do you have a security horn and relay?
