I can't find the OEM filters on Amazon so I'm thinking about running the EcoGard. Wondering what peoples thoughts are?

Looks alright, it even has the foam layer that premium filters have.

I would just buy OEM on my new truck, but its not a terrible choice.

I just picked up an OEM Toyota air filter on Amazon last week.

I've had the Ecogard one in mine for about 6k miles and seems to be just fine. I've also used the Ecogard engine/cabin filters in our Honda Fit for the past 20k or so miles without any issues.

Unless you can validate the Amazon seller is tied directly to a dealer, I would not trust the product to be real. There is so much fake 'OE' parts out there and they are hard to spot unless you have the real part next to it. There are many dealers who do a good job with online pricing and delivery. My local dealer sponsors the Toyota Nation website and has good pricing. https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/. I see $19.55 currently for the 3G air filters. I am not a sponsor, this is just a suggestion.

I'm running that ecogard filter now. Works fine as far as I can tell.

At the time I bought it, was a very cheap priced filter. I'll run it for a year and replace with whatever.

I’ve used it, but went back to using OEM. I don’t see the point in the foam since the stock filter doesn’t have it.

The one I got from Amazon seems perfectly fine, it was a Toyota Dealer on there though.

I use one in my Tacoma and I got one for my wife's 4runner too. I notice no difference driving either vehicle.

I've used ecogard before in multiple vehicles and had no issue.
