Ok so I'm looking for a brand new set of tires and came across these brand new 285/70/17 load c Ko2's from a local tire shop that were listed on fb marketplace. Obviously this is not a nationwide chain but they do have two locations in Tucson and a decent amount of positive reviews on google. I'm just wondering what the catch may be? The same set at discount tire/costco/sams would run me $1500 plus compared to $915 out the door plus free repairs/balancing for the lifetime of the tire. I realize that if my tire needed to be repaired and I were anywhere other than Tucson I'd be out of luck but that doesn't really bother me, i'd just throw on the spare and keep it moving. Is it possible that they're selling these tires without certificates thus voiding the limited warranty and that's why they're so cheap? Just want to know if I should jump on this deal or run! TIA

I'd go for it, if you can walk in and purchase them then heck ya. Great tires, load C only 51lbs. I have been buying the take offs from the Jeep guys to save bucks.

Check the date stamp cast into the sidewall.

They might be older than you want to install, since age = rubber deterioration.

Hope they are 'young' and you've found a hot deal!

    Who knows.
Maybe a previous customer bought them and they didn’t fit.
It happens a lot. Guys order stuff and then they don’t fit.
I know a couple guys that installed a 6” lift on a Ram 1500. :anonymous:
The lift was a drop bracket, with new spindles.
The old wheels hit the spindles. So we did without a truck for a week.
And paid $1,200 for a set of used wheels and tires to fit……:frusty:

Things happen. Or maybe the shop is just selling them cheap.
    Ask them……?

BFG is coming out with the KO3 and the 285/70/17 in a "C" load rating is one of the two sizes currently available. This shop may be just trying to reduce stock in preparations for the KO3 arriving. Just speculation on my part.

A local tire shop in my area had a similar deal on these tires (same size & load rating). $900 installed & out the door while supplies last.
