    Hey Guys

I am looking for the meter readings for the pins on pins 4,5 in ohms (less than 10 maybe?) and for the data link ports?

I was also looking for the wiring schematic?

When I plug in my scanner im getting a connection (battery voltage is being read) but I cannot retrieve any data.

    thanks guys

Pins 4 and 5 are grounds, pin 16 is power.

Most of the modules talk on CAN which is pins 6 and 14, with the battery disconnected you should have 60 ohms across pins 6 and 14 and no continuity between either pin and power or ground.

Did you make sure you have the actual OBD plug and not a jumper plug someone plugged in to add an accessory?

Yes I even popped it out of the port to test it. I checked voltage on pin 14 and 7. 14 is 2.49 and 7 is showing 12.46 so something’s def wtong. To be honest I want to disconnect the abs module - when my scanners were reading data I was getting every abs code (11 or 12?). I just need to find it

Chassis ground and sensor ground both are the exact same color and are both grounds. Is it a huge dealing if these are swapped?

Not really, most scanners bridge those 2 terminals anyway. The only time it may screw you up is if you ever have to troubleshoot one of those grounds.

Is there anyway I can get confirmation on the colors of the wires?

My connector broke, so I just have the ends of the wires (with terminals). I terminated them in a OBD2 extension so I could just plug in a scanner on the other end. It worked for a while and was able to get it inspected, however it came undone and I'm connecting it back but can't seem to get my Bluetooth reader to power on, let alone return a signal. I think I'm getting something mixed up.

What sensor is Pin 5? I'm getting a good 12v reading from Pin 16 to 4 but not Pin 16-5. OBD2 scanner won't connect.

Pin 5 is a ground, it would normally be connected at Ground Point EE on the back of the right cylinder head.
Scan tools typically bridge pins 4 and 5 when they are plugged in.

Ok. I no longer have that ground attached to the cylinder head and the scan tool works on other vehicles. I thought maybe connecting a scan tool that has its own power might get a result?

Can I ground out Pin 5 from the port to solve the issue?

Your gona have to connect those grounds that were on the back of the heads to something, both EE and EF have PCM grounds on them so they need to be grounded for the PCM to be online.
