I don't have one in the bed of my truck. A buddy of mine though uses his when we go camping for a blender to make margaritas.

Power outlet is in the Off Road TRD as well. I use mine to fill up the air mattress, using an extension cord to get to the tent from the truck. I also ran a light from it as well to set up camp at night before the lanterns were unpacked. The truck does NOT need to be running, by the way. There are mods as will give you 400 watts while running and not just while parked, but I have not needed to do that.

The 400 watt mod gives you 400 watts regardless of the engine running or not or if moving or standing still. All that is necessary is that the ignition is in the on/run position not ACC.

Yup I can confirm.. I used the bed outlet to pump up three air matresses. Two were with a regular pump, one was for my massive Queen pillow-top mattress with foam and built-in pump.. it was amazingly comfortable and worked like a charm.

So yes, you can use the outlet in bed to do a lot of things. Run a newish 42-inch or smaller TV, blender, single cup coffee machine (no big ones or Keurigs) and a lot of other stuff. Page 9 (or 10) has a huge list of things and the watt amount.

And that's cool, but why don't you just get some portable battery packs. My favorite is my Lenmar 20,800 mAh charger. 4 ports to charge my phone, tablet, and vapor all at the same time. Or enough to charge my phone like 6-7 times.

    http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/06/25/best-portable-battery-chargers-for-smartphones/

Oh, and I use my phone while camping to take photos and for the flashlight feature... it's wonderful.
and while we're on the topic, these are THE BEST THINGS EVER

    Not enough...
I have a drawer full of those things. Anything from cheap $3 monoprice ones, expensive mophies and a bunch of others. They all suck. But I use the inverter for other things, not just to charge phones.

Now these are awesome. I need to get a few, because my girlfriend needs a night light when we go camping and kills batteries in all of my lights, lanterns and anything else that produces light. And then she brings 3 packs of glow sticks, for when she kills the batteries. Heh
