Are you worried about theft? It is not going to blow out of the bed on the highway.

I've had a bed mat in two tacoma's over 15 years with them never being secured... I've never had a problem. If you are worried about theft, you might want to secure it, but I wouldn't worry about it blowing out.

Way too heavy to blow away, and who would want an old used bed mat so bad to want to steal one?!?!

    Nope.

I take mine out on occasion to let the bed dry out as well.

I've seen people steal stupider things so mine has a single bolt through the center drain hole. Someone could cut it off but I doubt it would come to that.

I pulled the bed bolts before installing the mat and installed them after the mat so it's bolted to my bed.

    One bolt front, center.

Mine blew out on two non consecutive occasions from the super jet dryers at the car wash. I guess the jet stream caught it just right to blow underneath it. If it wasn't for that; mine would be in there loose.

Don't own one on this truck but, wouldn't if I did. Not much thievery in my immediate area and where I work is gated with cameras and live, armed security 24/7. So I guess I only need worry about the security people.

On a somewhat related note but, I'm sure, to the interest of no one. When I moved to the Oxford area I thought it strange that the ladies at bars and restaurants hung their purses on the coat hooks near the doors or used them to "save" their seats while up dancing. If their shits not getting jacked, I'm not overly concerned about a bed mat covered in shit.

This is the one I have. I've had it for 3 years now and it is perfect. No issues what so ever.

The OEM Mat is nice also.

If Amazon would have been selling the OEM when I bought mine I would have purchased just because I think it looks better personally. Other than that the functionality is the same.

Yeah I bought an OEM for my DCLB. Best price I found was Camelbak Toyota. $85 for the mat, $3 handling charge (whatever that is!) and $8.40 shipping, so $95 all in. I checked a ton of other places, such as TRD parts, OEMparts. All had for $85, but shipping was way more. The mat is nice an heavy and has tacoma in embroidered letters.

Try a Tacoma bed web. Secure the metal connections with wires. Not foolproof, and hope this web slows the thief down. Time and noise are not on the thiefs side. A determined thief usually has his way. With a web.. keeps honest people honest....maybe. I.M.H.O.

I put a small carriage bolt with a wing nut on the bottom side, so I can remove it if I need to. Seen way to much stuff stolen off of vehicles. Anything I can do to keep it from walking off, I'm going to do, even if its easily defeated.

I secured mine with the two bed bolts. figured if someone wanted to steal it , they can cut around it if they really want to.

then I found a extang tonneau a few weeks after and a couple days ago I just added PL5500 pop n lock tailgate handle

Yeah, I like the oem one but yours don't look bad at all, especially for 70$!
