Do you lose your valve stem caps when airing down & up as much as I did?

No matter where I put these things I'd lose them every time! In the wheel, on top of the tire, lost almost every time! No idea why. I'm not a fan of bright colors on my rig, but this little mod makes things much easier to locate.

 

Yup, always losing them. Bright color isnt a bad idea

only time I lost mine is when some DB took them when I was parked in the grocery store lot. Took the two on the passenger side. Really. Valve stem caps. Really.

 

I'm guessing he's referring to the actual cap itself, not just the color of the tether part.

 

I just put them in my pocket. Its like your car keys at home, if you put them in the same spot everytime you get home you'll never loses them.

 

Not a huge deal to be missing valve stem caps if you have rubber stems... But if you have TPMS definitely keep a cap on there. If not it was get corroded inside and your valve core will seize inside your TPMS sensor.
