Do Third Gens need the Uni Filter Mod?

I've searched a bunch, but haven't seen a definitive answer. I see that 2nd gens are spending $15 to save $1000 (until the organize a recall, which probably should happen), but I'm not sure if 3rd gens have the same issues. I admittedly don't know enough about it to go and look myself.

Also, if there is a stupid questions thread I'll post my noob questions in there, I searched for that too, but just found a lot of fng jokes.

 

From my understanding, it is an emissions part on 2nd gen trucks, Third gen doesn’t have the system so No.

3rd gen doesn’t need the emissions air pump associated with the foam filter degradation. So this mod should not apply to any 3 generation Tacoma.
