Do these Toyota running boards also fit access cab?

Hi everyone. I am the proud owner of a new 2020 Tacoma SR Access Cab with SX trim.

I’m wondering if you all can help me with a question. I bought the truck with predator steps installed, but I really don't like them, and am looking into getting the Toyota cast aluminum running boards. I think the part number is PT76735190, but everywhere I look on the internet, this seems to be for the double cab. Does this part number also fit the access cab? Toyota’s website says it fits the “Large” cab, but I’m not sure what that is.

I see new Tacoma Access Cab’s being sold on AutoTrader and other sites with the cast aluminum running boards. Can anyone help me confirm what the part number is that fits my truck?Screen Shot 2020-08-17 at 8.46.40 AM.jpg

Welcome to TW and gratz on your purchase. I can’t answer that for you but try looking here, the 2020 parts thread and/or asking @Jeff Lange, I think he’s the go to guy for part numbers. Good luck!

Thanks Devir7. I appreciate your well-wishes. I can't find the answer in the first link you posted, so I will contact Jeff Lange to see if he knows. Again, tyVm.

Hi pdxTacoSR5. In 20 dozen Google searches, I've never seen a page that says, "Fitment: 2005-20 Tacoma Access Cab," so thanks for directing me to that link. Seems funny that the same running boards would fit both the Double Cab and Access Cab, but I suppose it's possible. I have posed the same question to the dealership I bought the truck from, but they are totally dragging their feet getting back to me.

Ok, Boghog1. I'll let everyone know what I find out... especially if the dealership gets back to me.

Part number I used to order mine was C0320-35053.
That is the 3rd Gen running boards and I have it on my 2020 OR.
    Hope that helps!

Thanks Gfrancisco. Beautiful truck. Those are nice, but I'm hoping to get the ones that look like the 2 photos here, which I've just taken from Access Cabs (SR and a TRD Pro) currently for sale on AutoTrader. I just can't get a confirmed part number for these.running board.jpg running board 2.jpg

Ah I see, then you’re right with the part number you listed on your first post.
Those are the 2nd Gen running boards which still fits any 3rd Gen no problem but as for access cab vs double cab fitment... I would suggest calling you’re dealer to confirm.

I replied to your PM, but upon closer inspection, it does look like these will fit both the Access Cab and the Double Cab. It's interesting, because most of Toyota's boards don't.

The style Gfrancisco posted are the following part numbers:
PT212-35053 - Running Boards, Access Cab (2005-2020 Toyota USA Part Number)
C0320-35053 - Running Boards, Access Cab (2005-2020 Toyota Canada Part Number)
PT212-35055 - Running Boards, Double Cab (2005-2020 Toyota USA Part Number)
C0320-35055 - Running Boards, Double Cab (2005-2020 Toyota Canada Part Number)

    The style from the OP:
PT767-35190 - Running Boards, Access Cab or Double Cab (2005-2020 Toyota USA Part Number, not available in Canada - Replaces PT767-35160)

    (Large cab = access cab)

Thank you so much, Jeff. I really appreciate your getting back to me. I had the salesman where I bought the truck check with the Parts Department, and they said PT767-35190 would fit the Access Cab, but I had seen in so many places that the "Fitment" was for the Double (or Crew) Cab, so I still wasn't positively sure. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that one running board part would fit both. Thank you for clarifying for me and for decoding that Large Cab = Access Cab.

There are so many posts about running boards on Tacoma World, but yours is the clearest answer I've seen for anyone who is really digging in to answer this question. Thanks a lot for your help.

Thanks DES2009. I have been watching FB Marketplace and Craigslist and have seen this, but Harrisburg is too far away. Thanks for the shoutout.

Sorry for the delay. Didn't see this. Not yet. Still looking. Gen 3 boards fit both Crew & Access. Have seen a number on FB Marketplace, but they have been either too expensive or too far away... and no one seems willing to ship. I'm being patient until the right pair comes along. Then will sell my predator steps... which, to me, look more appropriate for a teenage boy than to an older woman like me.

New to TW, on these running boards. Was it a straight up install? I’ve got a set I’m going to install, haven’t picked them up yet.

I haven't found an affordable set yet. It appears to be a very easy install. There are several YouTube videos about it. Good luck!

Are those cast aluminum boards? How are they doing with the rock chips?
