    Anything aftermarket can cause issues.

    If it's a concern, don't modify.

With or without an attorney the answer is always maybe. It is never anything else.

I would think anything that's Toyota TRD aftermarket accessories/parts would not void warranty, others may

You can do it but if you ever need to take it in for any warranty work reinstall factory parts.

    Possibly.

But probably only on drive line components.

And more notably on the engine.

More importantly a K&N will empty your wallet and never give you anything back but noise.

It does not void the warranty. You Can and most likely will be denied for a claim if you blow your engine or have an engine related issue. If your radio breaks, or you have suspension problem then you should have no issues. I believe the only things that void a warranty completely are using the truck for racing or salvage titles.

Varies on dealership and reputation at said dealer.

Simply ask someone at your dealer, and often the parts department can order it for you, placing more pressure on them to look the other way.

The worst I've seen K&N do is gunk up the air flow meter and throttle, which is easily cleaned.

Yes it can void parts of your warranty. Any mod that can be related to a failure can be blamed and thus void the warranty on that related component or system.

No it doesn't, your warranty will be intact but Toyota can deny a claim on anything related to your aftermarket parts.

Oil mist from my K&N did in my air flow sensor- how many stock air filters could you buy instead of a potential $700 repair job? Just saying....

Lots of misinformation here. I have a 2017 DCOR. Installed the K&N CAI. I experience smoother throttle, more torque, increased HP and 3MPG gain. K&N says 18HP gain.

K&N has a pledge(see below) that if the dealership gives you problems that they will step in and make it right. K&N has done extensive testing to prove that their product doesn't harm the vehicle. I've been hearing lots of haters and nonsense for months. I don't understand why people hate this company so much. The MPG gain alone pays for the product. The smooth air flow makes for a much more enjoyable acceleration. Yes, it's loud when you stomp on it but the gains more than make up for that defect.

I like how you prefaced with "lots of misinformation here". There was oil residue on my throttle body as the K&N air filter had too much oil put on it by the tech that sprayed mine (back in the day when Minute Lube sold and serviced K&N filters). Anyone who owns one has to be sure they do not apply too much oil on them, as well as having to apply just the right amount, or else. No misinformation about that.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson–Moss_Warranty_Act

Magnuson Moss Act is you friend when a dealer tells you have voided your warranty on the vehicle when the part that failed is not related to any modification you have done.

The burden of proof is on them to deny the claim. In my experience, dealers would rather tell you that voided the warranty because they make more money at their labor rate and
parts vs. what the warrant rates are.

Good Dealers in my area are far between.

Except the dealer doesn't make the call, Toyota corporate is the one who denies claims. It's plain and simple, you gotta pay to play. If you don't want to have trouble with warranties then keep it stock. If you modify the vehicle you can't expect Toyota to warranty failed parts.
