Do I need an alignment after new wheels and tires?

2022 Tacoma SR - just under 15,000 miles

I wanted to get rid of these steel wheels and minivan tires. Just placed an order for a set of Method 703 wheels in matte black (17" +0 offset), paired with a set of Toyo AT3 (Load C) 265/70r17, and some new lugnuts for the wheels. I plan to swap the TPMS sensors over from the OEM steelies, I heard you have to install them upside down or something if you try to reuse the steel wheel TPMS? Is this true? Didn't want to spend $150 for another set, plus the reprogramming fee.

My main question - do I need a new alignment if I'm installing these and upgrading tire sizes from OEM? I'm fully stock, suspension wise, no lift or anything of the sort.

    Thanks

Bigger tires need an alignment. Sensors should work

At 15k? Couldn’t hurt, but probably not necessary. I would.

Roger. Was a previous fleet vehicle, picked it up with 13k back on Thanksgiving. Did the usual stuff to do, oil change, new cabin and engine filter, and a tire rotation. Probably due for an alignment anyway, probably was drove hard and not well cared for given that it was a fleet truck. I'll just get it done then. Should only run me like $100-$150, thanks for the input. Don't wanna burn thru my new $1200 tires.

Ideally, you want to do an alignment anytime you put on new tires.

If you want to keep the warranty on the tires, you should.
It’s insurance on your part. If steering and suspension components are worn, you can’t get a good alignment,
If you can get a good alignment, you have back should you need to warranty the tires.

Nah, it’s probably a great truck, has low miles,, and sounds like you’re doing good addressing maintenance items, so I’d just spend the extra jingle on the alignment. again; that’s super low miles, it probably wasn’t abused, and will serve you well for another quarter million miles.
    Have fun with it!

Since the hubs are what is being aligned, tires don't matter.

However, with an unknown alignment history and new tires, I'd spring for it.

Also the shop installing the equipment *may* require the OE type correct sensors instead of dinking with the wrong style. So ask before you go so you don't get surprised.
