Considering getting some of that pre cut tint from Walmart. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it decent? Is it junk? Just not wanting to spend $300 to tint three windows….

$300 seems a little steep for tint for 3 windows. I’ve seen plenty of diy window tint that in the long run will cost you more, and will look horrible.

I bought from ebay. The tint is great but my work was garbage. I wasn't spending 250 on a$1000 car though. The truck should be easier than my hatchback beater though

One thing I've learned over the years (and many vehicles)...
Always just bring it somewhere to get the tint installed. Factor that into the price of the vehicle / downpayment if you have to.

I personally always just get the fronts to match the rears - and get the best heat reduction stuff they offer (I think this has been carbon cxp for a while now). The Carbon cxp at 35% always turns out to be almost indistinguishable from the rears in shade. It might allow a bit more light through, but I maintain good visibility at dusk or at night this way...offers just enough privacy, and really helps on those blistering hot summer days.

My local place is about $90 for the two fronts with cheaper tint. It's $120 for the good stuff.

I live in a small town, only one good shop here they can charge about whatever they want. He’s good though and uses ceramic film. It’s still steep though.

All my vehicles I’ve owned (about 12) I have always took them straight to my tint guy. I always go the darkest he has which is 3%. But all those vehicles were nice low mileage , flip vehicles. This truck is my work truck, didn’t want to invest the money in it but sounds like I may just be better off in the long run.

I’ve always just went with the Rvinyl pre-cut stuff on Amazon, works great and looks good. I’m a bit OCD so I take the windows out so I can get it perfect.
