My dogs took no time to destroy my screens so I made some out of metal. Cost about $20.00 and took about an hour. Used expanded metal, MC clamps with original screws and a little paint. Slapped it in and done. Let's see the dogs destroy these ones. ;)

I need to do this. Previous owner of my shell had a big dog. It tore the screens up.

Conduit clamps and you reused the factory screws? Just unscrew, screw back in with the clamp attached?

    Seems too easy..

Super easy and inexpensive. Just use cardboard to mock up a templet.

    Thanks

What'd you use to cut the expanded metal?

Cut-off wheel on a 4" grinder. Then used sanding disk to fit it perfectly and knock off sharp edges.

I'll need it too. My girlfriend and I are looking at adopting a German shepherd and a golden doodle next year.

I have a big dog, a German Shepard. Some dogs can be destructive as hell if they get bored, or are still puppies. The bigger the dog the bigger the destruction. I think your solution is just the thing to cause your dogs to look elsewhere for their entertainment.
