I am going to be making my own sliders from square tubing. Any advice or blueprints/drawings would be greatly appreciated. They will be bolt on and for DCSB 3rd gen.

The design doesn't change a whole lot between companies. I would advise buying them from someone who has made and tested a few hundred already, but then I don't know what your background is.

There’s another member here that posted about doing that a while back, they were pretty good looking sliders too. Sorry, but you’re going to have to search for it :)

I'm going to use 1.75" square for the outriggers(from the frame), and 1.5" 0.120”wall round tube for outer portion (the bent tubes). I think 1020 DOM should be good enough. I only have a 1.5” di on my bender otherwise 1.75” would look better.
The hard part is going to be the frame mounts. If it bolts on then things need to be unbolted / drilled and plate needs to be cut for the bolt on frame mounts. Most of the aftermarket sliders include large sections of 3/16 (?) plate which mounts up frame side.

weld on should be way less work…

Are you bending (roll) the square tubing or weld every mitre cuts? If you're welding the mitre cuts just make sure you put a backing plate inside the tubing, leave about 1/8 gap for weld prep. I made them before and yes it took a lot of abuse.

Some companies will sell you all the pieces, then you can weld them yourself to help cut down cost. Not sure exactly who but that's what my cousin did on his 4runner.

The company who must not be named in this place used to sell a good looking kit to do that. Too bad they “pilfered” money from so many, they once “built” nice stuff!
