Search The Forum and didn't find anything like this so I thought I would start one myself.
I'm the kind of guy that would rather build something than buy it.

Here is the first accessory I thought I would need

This one I hope to use in the future. When I get my sliders.20201218_152712.jpg 20201218_153200.jpg

It's a copy of the Hi lift lift mate. Just no hooks.

I like the ideas shared and have a idea of my own. A box to slide over a factory recovery hook. The hook looks to have plenty of beef to hold a side load, but I'll try it on my own if I get one made. I was with some fellas and they just inserted the high lift in the reciever hitch hole. I personally would have tried one side by the hook. I figured more stable with 3 tires on the ground. Hope to see more ideas. I made a lager base for mine. I'll post pictures later.

I made this one to slide in the receiver of my bumper. Like you described. But I agree, having three tires on a ground is probably a good thing.20201218_153053.jpg 20201218_152824.jpg

I like this too. At least that bolt would keep it in there! I see some aftermarket bumpers with nice attachment points built in. I like the Slider attachment, I must make one of those.

The question was "how do you use it", not "what is it" You still haven't explained or shown how to use it, especially with no hooks

Would be nice to see how it works. I guessed basket the slings? I could imagine other uses but surely not for removing a damaged and flat tire.

Could be made of steel plate and angle iron and welded together but a little weight savings I thought. 20201219_105307.jpg

Yes the sling gets wrapped around the wheel spokes until it's just the right length then both looped ends are capture by the bolt in the bracket I made.
My plan for this is just for recovery situations.
    1. Wheel stuck in a hole. Jack up that wheel fill that hole with rocks and dirt. Set it back down.
    2. Flat tire. Jack up the wheel set it down on a jack stand or rock if need.

I'm sure there is more situation where it will be useful.

That there is a thing of beauty. I've been using the same piece of 12x12x2 oak I picked up at a shipyard almost 40 years ago. Drilled for bolts to attach it to the base. It might weigh more that yours.

That works too though and 12x12 a bigger foot print. I just thought the ones you can purchase were a little pricey, no more than what they are. I been looking at pictures I've taken the last couple of years and it looks like I used1/4-20 countersink or flat head allen bolts to attach the rails.

Most commercial products are over priced for what they do. If you can do it yourself you usually end up with a much better solution for much less money.
