My front brake rotors were warped and it was bothering me, so I went ahead and replaced my rotors and pads. Filmed a fairly complete diy look at replacing the front pads and rotors. It's a fairly simple thing and most you probably already know this stuff but hopefully some great beginner tips etc..

Probably the best DIY brake video I’ve seen yet....well done.

The only thing I would’ve added would be to mention that you need to pump the brakes a few times before you get the truck moving again...

Great detailed tutorial. For those who prefer to self bleed the brakes like myself, I use discarded O2 tubing from my hospital and drill a hole in a cap of a small gatorade or juice bottle. Run the tubing through the cap and fill the bottle 1/2 way with fresh brake fluid. The O2 tubing fits the the bleeder screw perfectly and works great. I re-use this method on my other vehicles.

If re-using the rotors I would be more careful not to scratch them when prying back the old pads to seat the pistons. Other than that, great video.

I'd say no, I get the debate but 20+ years on the bench and I've never done it that way. Nothing wrong if you like to do it that way, quick bleed and you're good.

Honestly it's very unlikely you'd mark it enough that it would make any difference. Plus if you're re-using the rotors they should at minimum be machined.
