So a few members have been inquiring about my bike rack. It's homemade and I have about $70 into it. It was all sourced from Fleet Farm but I can see variations of the theme made easily. It holds five bikes of any size (26, 29, DJ, Downhill) without rubbing if you turn the tires. Recently I've added 1/2 I.D. hot water heater pipe insulation to the 'prongs' for extra protection against abrasion on my carbon frame. There are my ways to hold the bikes-I've modified (cut) cam-lock style kayak straps to secure the frames to the 'prongs.' Hope this helps! FYI...the fasteners used to secure the bike rack integrate with the side tie downs. The holes in the side tie downs are perfect for 1/4-20 hardware. I spaced up the rack using four washers above the tie down and one washer below.
