Display brightness when I turn on headlights dims so much I can't read it

Why does the center display dim so much that i can't read it when i turn on running lights/headlights.
During say a rainstorm, during the day, i put on lights and can't read/see display, very very dim.
Where or are there settings to keep the display bright all the time in the settings somewhere.
I am not talking about the dashboard lights, i know how to brighten those.

In the display settings of the head unit.

IF ......Uv tapped an existing circuit to run other 12volt items

could be the cause of Ur dilema


always best to run ALL accesories from a buss like a ‘ CENTECH ‘

that way ANY electical issues..........simply UNplug everything from the OEM harness

NEVER tap/splice into an OEM harness

I realize it's in the display settings in the Head Unit/Main Screen, but you didn't follow up with what to click next,
and it wasn't a simple, click this button or adjust the brightness...
I found the answer on a youtube video and it was a little more in depth of how to change brightness and have it
save, then click a few buttons.

Sometimes it just means a person is in need of glasses.

 

When the headlights are on you get an extra option under display for day mode.

When the headlights are off the option disappears

 

Never saw that option until now. Yes, you MUST have yer lights on before you set it up in order for the DISPLAY button to pop-up. Thanks,

 

Yup, used to drive me nuts till I finally found that setting.

 

check the fuses. getting old. maybe replace.

 

Can't understand why people don't use the big black book in your glove box. Laziness I guess. If that the case Goggle it, easily done.

 

Not the sharpest tool in the shed? Or just a wise guy?
