I just got a 2020 TacomaOffroad 4x2 and it has been many years since I bought rims for a vehicle. I am a little confused by Discount vs manufacturer websites.

I am looking at either the XD 127 Bully or Helo 878. I like the look of both and want to keep stock 16" rims. Anyways I saw both of these on the DIscount Tire website stating the 16" would in fact fit on my truck. I did go on the manufacturer website for both and both of them say they will not fit my truck.

Does Discount know something or do they just put yes based on stock rim size?

    Thank you

I've been running into the same problem; not with Discount in particular, but one site will say XXX wheel fits, and another says it won't. Thing is, if it is a close issue where the brake caliper interferes with the inside of the rim (face is another problem), going to a 17 can open up possibilities. If you move up in wheel diameter one inch, that's 1/2 inch each "side" of the wheel, can hardly tell. To keep the same overall diameter, though, you have to drop a size in aspect ratio on the tire. For instance, a 265/70-16 tire/wheel is the same overall diameter as a 265/65-17 tire/wheel. And a 265/75-16 gets you the same as a 265-70-17. If you have a slight lft, even more possibilities in tire sizes. I decided to go to a 17 from a 16 so I had more choices in wheels for my 2011 SR5 DCSB 4x4. I have to stay with the 265/65-17 because my truck is stock height, not quite as much as a stock TRD suspension.

If you decide to stay with 16's and take the chance that Discount is right about the fit, get it in writing, to ensure the wheels can be returned if they don't fit.

Welcome to the site @aswad12345! I'm sorry to hear that you're running into conflicting information.

When searching by vehicle through our website, the wheels displayed are guaranteed to fit. Without getting into all the technical details, we have a dedicated team who's sole focus is crunching the wheel specs and measurements to ensure a proper fit

I'm not sure why the online search through the manufacture website excludes the two wheel models you noted so I contacted the manufacturer directly to inquire. The representative that I spoke with confirmed both options fit your 2020.

We'd like to assist further - PM coming your way.

Thank you Groan Old. I am looking to keep the stock 16". I just got the truck and am going to use the tires that came with it. Hopefully with the response below Discount will give me a refund if they don't fit. I can't believe I would need it in writing because they sold me the wrong item. But I suppose it is better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you Discount for your response and reaching out to both manufacturers. I am heading out now to Discount to order my new rims. Still don't know which ones yet. I guess I'll just wing it and decide on the drive down there.
