I did a quick search in this forum and didn’t see any hits. Google wasn’t much help. I am looking for help from my Tacoma fam on the problem of dirt under edge of decals. I would like to remove the decals near the wheel opening as pictured. What is best way without damaging paint. I will try to clean the 4x4 decals a little more. TIA for y’all’s help.

Slight hair dryer to warm them up then just peel them off. Don't melt the paint, just enough heat like a warm day outside then just slowly peel away.

I dont think those will ever come clean, unfortunately. They will have to go. Heat gun and gentle patience is the tried and true method.

Or you can be bold, rip it like a band-aid.:cookiemonster:

Any body shop will have a paint-safe solvent (smells like kerosene). I removed all the decals on my last Tacoma and one of our local shops just filled a small bottle and gave it to me. Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the tips. I hate to lose the 4x4 decals but sitting outside takes it’s toll.
