Any DD SS3 Pro users out there in TW?

I’ve read through the Fog Pod & Fog Light review thread and am aware that the pro’s are not recommended for on road use as fog lights. But I’m sure they are being used as such.

Have any of you Pro users found ways to use them without causing glare issues to other drivers? Is their aim very adjustable?

I want to purchase LED yellow fogs that are hot enough to keep lens clear from ice & snow. However I’m too cheap to pull trigger on Max pods.

I just installed the pros the other day, but I haven't had a chance to aim them, so I have only used them like I would a high beam. What thread are you referring to? I'd like to read it.
    Sorry, not much help :D

I've got SS3 max in selective yellow. Any of the three SS3's (sport, pro, max) are solid replacement choices and throw a ton of light compared to stock. Only downside to sport imo, is they don't get hot enough to melt snow. The pro's are nice they just don't have as clean of a cut off line as the sports or max's. I don't think you'll regret the pro's if that's what you want and they're on sale with free shipping and no sales tax at hotshotoffroad. I've been looking at pro/max options for ditch lights.

I ordered the pro driving fogs and are on the way. My last set of sports were driving with a cut off to not blind oncoming traffic. Easy to adjust. I ended up pointing each slightly outward and under low beam cut off. Basically, set up for deer on the side of road and for inclement weather.

FWIW, I never get flashed by oncoming drivers with my SS3 max's. Of course, I do use them like high beams and shut them off when oncoming traffic approaches.

You're not going to blind oncoming traffic with SS3 pro's either as long as they're aimed correctly.

I had SS3 Pros as fog lights in yellow. This was on another truck. They were great. There is no reason to believe they’d blind oncoming traffic if they are adjusted down where they’re supposed to be.

Does everyone using these notice that they throw a ton of light to the sides at 45 degrees to straight ahead. I think I installed them correctly but its annoying.

I think it’s an 80 degree width so that’s about right

That’s the point of the Fog light version, they make a Driving light version of some models too. I’m glad I decided on the fog light version, it definitely helps on city streets and I’m anxious to see back country road driving, as I think it’ll be very helpful there too.

I have been using DD in other viehicles since 2018 .I have had the Pros ( White ) since 2020. Bought them in the Driving Pattern. I try not to use them unless really needed, as I do not want to blind oncoming traffic.. I can slightly adjust them up and down, and I have them pointed down at the road. When I go wheeling at night I point them straight... Really do not need a bumper light bar if you have these on... I liked them so much I went back and bought their Ditch light set as well with the pros.. DD makes good stuff.

Pros are idling in the cart. I think for my purposes, low visibilty high snowfall rates, very little oncoming traffic, these are where my budget is at the moment. Plus there is the bezels, harness, relay, and while we're at it the fog light stalk, adds up quick if you don't have stock fogs.

I would have stuck with sports again, but I figure when I go west pros will come in handy. Bezels are cheap right now on ebay. Hotshot has switch and harness

I've had the Pro fog lights in yellow installed for the past year. I run them pretty much anytime the lowbeams are on. Never get flashed. Highly recommended!
