I usually use the regular Mobil 1 10w30 oil in my 3.4L. I see now that they have several different synthetic oils. Curious as to which ones you all use. I am leaning towards the Fuel Economy one. My motor only has less than 20K miles on it.

As long as it meets the rating and weight in your owner's manual they are all good oils.

Do you have data to back up the opinion?

I am curious if it's oil question season or something, I see alot of oil change interval/brand threads lately. The recommended oil viscosity and change interval is in the vendor manual. If you choose to deviate, so be it but don't look for advice here as everyone will have a different opinion.

I'd offer no technical advice to the OP, but run it and see what happens, keep track of your MPG. With so many variables such as winter blend fuels, humidity, lead foot, stop/go traffic, I doubt you'll be able to correlate a difference in oil weight to MPG.

I use the Valvoline, Pennzoil or Quaker State versions of Mobil 1.

    Specifically in the 5w30 edition.

Just follow the recommendations in the Owner's Manual. Viscosity, API grade and change interval. Any brand or flavor that meets these recommendations will be sufficient.
