It's the other way around, Aston was temporarily owned by Ford and took a piece of their DNA and put it into their dumb ass sedans

Alot of copying going on, especial between the Japanese. Their is known to be "spyies" employed between the Japanese automakers.

True. Perfect example of the Golden Rule, whoever has the gold rules.

Ford has owned a metric shit ton of other mfgs either completely or as a major stakeholder. The visual similarities of the Ford Explorer and Land Rover isn't an accident, the same designer sketched both. Some late model Lincolns shared design elements with The Jaguar XJ series. They went in deep on the retro T-bird/ Lincoln LS/Jaguar S platform sharing, basically the same car sold under 3 marques

Auto enthusiasts everywhere are lucky that Ford's buyout of Ferrari fell through at the last minute. One because it kept Ferarri going as it's own entity and two because Henry Ford II directly ordered the construction of what came to be the Ford GT40 to beat Ferarri at it's own game as revenge. Even Ford has a jewel or two to their credit.

Some Jags and Astons were drawn by the same guy.

Just a gen2 TRD shift knob so far. Anxiously awaiting ovTune 1.05 with handheld tuner!
Interesting comparison. I always thought that the current Tundra should have been a Ford. The grille reminds me somehow of Ford's late 70s trucks.

If you take a new white sedan I can barely tell the difference between an Accord, Camry, Maxima, Kia, etc. They’re all homogenized.

Ever look at a Ford Transit front grille and compare to the Tacoma?

Ford wasn’t a player until the 90s. I’m talking about a car design 20-30 years before then.

Early 70's Celicas were Mustang ripoffs.
