    ABOUT DEXTERO TIRES
Dextero Tires is a Giti Tire brand. Singapore-based Giti Tire Group, one of the largest tire companies in the world, operates eight state-of-the-art manufacturing plants, serving consumers in more than 130 countries worldwide. Giti’s first North American manufacturing facility, located in Chester County, South Carolina, began production in 2017.

I've had good luck with Asian mfr tires. They tend to run soft and quiet so they don't last long, but they are usually priced in accordance with their life.

Yeah Walmart's got them to fit my 2013 Tacoma 265/ 65/ 17@ 668 out the door. They are 10 ply but the installer says not real good in snow. He said to let some air out and maybe sandbags over the wheel wells. I only deal with light snow in Southern Idaho but coming back through Nevada can be tricky.

I had never heard of them either. Personally I would never run a 10-ply rated tire on a Tacoma. That said, some guys are OK with 'em. Most people can't carry enough weight in a Tacoma to justify that tire, and they are usually heavier which can have a [relatively] small effect on acceleration and fuel mileage, not to mention ride quality. Their main advantage is probably better puncture resistance in sharp rocks. Not saying how to spend your money, just tossing in my two cents. Whatever you buy, post up and let us know what you think of them.

I'll be carrying a slide-in camper for the summer and on and off during the winter. 950 lb dry. That's why I was thinking 10 ply. They don't cost much more.

They're not no name though.. they're just a name that hasn't advertised in America much.

But it's not like people with SUVs and trucks over on the opposite side of the world don't deal with the same towing requirements and road conditions as we do here. Some of them have it even worse.

There's no special juju in Goodyear's tire compound that makes it more "SHTF-proof" just because it's an American brand.

For saving a buck, I'm a fan of vredestein's pinza tires. From the testing I've seen they're as good as wildpeaks if not better. Severe snow rated also, although Ive only compared them with my neighbor's KO2s. Vs the KO2s, it's a no brainier unless you're maybe climbing rocks 50% of the time just due to road noise alone.

A ten ply tire is way too much for a Tacoma. They will ride stiff and weigh considerably more than a LR C tire.

These are what I put on... Haven't really been in any bad conditions yet but they ride good. Are just a little noisy at certain speeds and don't eject rocks until you get to 30 mph or so sometimes. Replaced the same size highway tire and put aluminum wheels on and only lost about 1 mpg

I'm having to replace my michelins that cracked something fierce. America's Tire said they may compensate for the mileage. I'll check it out during the week and then figure out which Tire to go with but thanks for the input

I put these on a 20004 highlander back in December. They’re really good street tires.

Can't attest to those specific AT ones but when I bought my truck late last summer it had Dextero all seasons, DH2 or something. Can't compare them to much else but they rode fine and never had any issues in the rain. First drive in a couple inches of snow though they did awful, very little traction to move/corner and braking distance was practically infinite with ABS on lol, had me ordering blizzaks the minute I got into work. I'd imagine the AT's would be a little better but with the amount of winter/snow driving I do I couldn't risk running them year round.
